Sebastian

My champagne shimmers and gleams in the sunlight as it swishes around the thin glass. My eyes focus in the distance on Sebastian, just getting out of the pool. He walks over and flops down onto the bottom of my chaise. Strands of espresso brown hair stick to his face and beads of water weigh down his eyelashes as he gazes into the blue sky.

“I can’t wait for sunset Mom!” He’s squinting his vibrant turquoise eyes, seeing the vast, turbulent ocean surrounding us as a rendering of magic, of endless opportunity; as he should.
