It’s Not so Tragic

It’s not so tragic, these new insights, new truths

Because as we learn new landscapes, our old ones seem preposterous.

So blame it on lack of exposure, for I had put off deciding when “life really started” to

Save my shine for better days, an attempt at storing up my potential, which is odd.

But it’s not so tragic, because if I am here, today, okay with any old ways, 

and consciously committed to love, there’s nothing that could possibly

Get in my way. 

I’ve been a diamond in the rough, but it’s time to get majorly buffed.
